The delegation is seeking to investigate the ways to start a new chapter in bilateral scientific and technological cooperation, through discussions with the Syrian authorities
In a meeting with the Syrian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Boroujerdi expressed hope that great strides would be made in the field of science in the negotiations with the Syrian Minister of Higher Education and other officials
Mr. Bassam Ibrahim, the Syrian Minister of Higher Education, in a speech, noting that in the meeting with Dr. Boroujerdi we discussed the implementation of bilateral agreements within scientific and academic fields, and added that, "The purpose of this meeting is to use the experiences of Iranian brothers in building scientific centers, especially in the field of nanotechnology."
The delegation of I.R. of Iran also met with Mr. Faisal Meqhdad, the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the first day of their visit. Further meetings with the officials and scientific figures of Syria are also scheduled to be held for the delegation in this week.
