One of the responsibilities of the University Vice Chancellorship for Students is to ensure the spiritual and psychological needs, or in other words the psychological health of our students are dealt with in a professional manner. Therefore amongst the other diversified programs mentioned earlier, the Vice Chancellorship conducts educational courses in various fields. Some of the most important courses conducted include courses on “Living Skills” and “Prevention of Social Harm”.
The branches of the Islamic Azad University boast excellent, world-class sports facilities. The total area of existing sports facilities is above 1,000,000 m². A further 266,425 m² of sports facilities is under construction and due to come into use within the near

The Islamic Azad University thrives on providing a safe environment for students and their families. Most of our branches currently offer dormitory facilities, either on properties owned by the Islamic Azad University or on properties we have rented in order to provide dormitory facilities to our students. There is an office tasked with ensuring constant and continuous supervision and offers necessary training to relevant authorities in order to improve the quality of residences offered to students. For the availability of the facilities you may contact the related university branch.
Islamic Student Associations are communities made up of volunteer Muslim students. They can be established at any of Iran's centers for higher education and work within a set framework. Islamic student associations are considered as independent legal entities operating in each university. After being formally recognized, each Islamic student association may establish branches or units in different departments of that university. In the seventeen districts of the Islamic Azad University in Iran, a total of 217 political and Islamic unions and 2,072 scientific, literature and arts unions currently
exist and play an active role in University affairs. Scientific Unions are active in the fields of science and research in various fields of study. Some of their main scientific and research activities include presenting papers and studies in national and international
seminars and conferences, publishing papers in well-known and reputed journals, presenting and conducting research projects, presenting new ideas leading to innovations, participating in international Olympiads and other such activities which help the scientific growth of our students. Also, members of scientific student unions may conduct scientific workshops and seminars in order to help increase their knowledge and share ideas and information amongst members.
Career Services & Alumni Support
The Islamic Azad University has a series of initiatives in place to support students after they graduate, including career services and alumni associations. One of the most important features of the Islamic Azad University’s alumni support is the Alumni Corporate
Centers. These centers are tasked with supporting new ideas, entrepreneurship and commercialization of research. The Islamic Azad University has allocated funding and grants for research proposals requested from both within and outside the university.
This means the university will cover a significant part of the costs that faculty members, researchers and graduate students incur during their research activities. These activities include the compilation and publishing of books, participating in domestic and international conferences, competitions and exhibitions, commercializing new ideas and the entrepreneurship of development and technology centers. These centers will in return serve as a basis for newly-established knowledge-based companies
and are places where students can benefit from university facilities. They also play a key role in the creation of research centers whose main job is to improve the quality and quantity of research through providing the necessary means for carrying out these studies while acting as a link between executive agencies, the industry and universities in order to produce science and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
