** Dr. Ebrahimi at Islamic Azad University-IAU Birjand Branch: Preparation for Iranians abroad to Pursue Studying via IAU Electronic Branch
Within a session hold for investigating IAU-Birjand branch’s international affairs and international students’ admission, Director General for International Affairs mentioned to the announcement of the IAU 5-year international document in near future and mentioned to the readiness of IAU Electronic Branch to admit Iranians living abroad for further academic studies.
The IAU International Affairs Director, pointed to the University’s efforts to attract non-Iranian Persian speaking students to study at IAU and the establishment of IAU’s Offices and International Network in Italy, Germany Russia, England, UAE, and Afghanistan.
The IAU’s Secretary of the Board of Trustees and President of the Islamic Azad University of South Khorasan also appreciated the follow-up activities conducted by International Affairs Office and the Representatives Office of MFA in the province, to enable South Khorasan to peruse the University’s intentional objectives. He added, “The settlement of IAU International Network provides the grounds for global excellence.”
Special Electronic Portal for non-Iranian Students’ Registration
Mr. Soroush Razmi, Director for non-Iranian Students Bureau at IAU International Affairs Office announced the uploading of the Special Electronic Portal for non-Iranian Students’ Registration and said that, the system is welcomed by the foreigners and we will face the expansion and excellence of IAU-International Network in near future.
The MFA representative in the South Khorasan Province also appreciated the IAU’s efforts to provide the grounds for admitting non-Iranian students and emphasized the MFA cooperation in the field.

** Dr.Zarif: MFA is ready to cooperate with the IAU/ Dr.Mirzadeh: IAU is serious to attract Persian language speakers with the cooperation of MFA
In the meeting held with the presence of Dr.Mirzadeh, the president of the Islamic Azad University, Dr.Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Foreign Minister, and Dr. Hossein Ebrahimi the IAU Director General for Int’l Affairs, Dr. Zarif mentioned to the important role of IAU and other universities in international scopes for the countries general and scientific diplomacy. He also mentioned that the Foreign Ministry is ready to cooperate with the Islamic Azad University in this regard.
Dr.Zarif pointed to his records at the Islamic Azad University, and the close acquaintance with it. He referred to the scientific and developmental activities of IAU in Iran as one of the outstanding achievements of the Islamic revolution.
He expressed his hope for further development of Int’l domain in the future.
In this meeting, Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh expressed his sincere thanks towards the foreign minister and the Iranian diplomacy team in JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) program, and on behalf of the IAU family said,” The discussions and achievements in JCPOA, paved the ground for the expansion of the IAU International Network in different countries, and the IAU is determined to extend this network with the cooperation of the MFA to recruit Persian speakers for scientific, and research cooperation”.
After IAU office establishment in Moscow, and the Synergy University, two other IAU offices have been inaugurated in Essen, Germany, and also in Milan, Italy.
Dr. Mirzadeh in regard to providing the conditions and facilities for Persian-speakers education in abroad said, “Establishing branches in other countries regarding the possibility of virtual education is not economically beneficial, and the student mobility in different countries necessitates us to have a network, so that we can provide education for Persian- speakers residents in foreign countries, especially for Iranians.”
He added, “The case has caused the IAU to establish the Electronic Branch, and International Branches and Offices by utilizing scientific and educational capacities.”
** IAU; Director General for Intl’s Affairs: The Iranian students living abroad registration website launched
Dr.Hossein Ebrahimi announced, English, Arabic, German, Italian, French, and Russian languages teaching at MA, and Ph.D. levels at the IAU.
Dr.Ebrahimi also mentioned to the inauguration of the new IAU offices in Germany, and Italy as well as a publication center by Dr.Mirzadeh which paves the ground for further scientific and educational cooperation.
The IAU Director General for Intl’s affairs added, “For each of the IAU offices, a short term and a long term program has been considered. The short term program includes studying and identifying the students’ registration rate in the target countries for a one year period.”
With the presence of the president of the Islamic Azad University the IAU new office was opened in Essen, Germany, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr.
This office is considered as the newest member of the International Network of Islamic Azad University which made up an IAU Main Branch, the IAU Electronic (virtual) Branch and other IAU Offices and Branches in Afghanistan, England, Lebanon, United Arabic Emirates, Russia, Germany and Italy.
According to Dr. Mirzadeh, the IAU can use the capacities of the Network and IAU Electronic Branch to provide the education for all the Persian Speaking and Iranians living abroad.
Besides the new Office, the IAU Publication Center was also opened to provide the Persian cultural and scientific resources for those who are interested in Persian Language learning as well as other Iranians outside the boarders.
